Inside 28 Peats Done

When I calculated the width of the pleats at the waist and arrived at a half-inch measure, I expected that I would end up doing 25 or 26 pleats. Miss Elsie thought otherwise. "Do twenty-eight pleats," she said. So, there are twenty-eight pleats. The tall pleat is where the two halves of the double-width tartan are joined.
