A Closer View of the 21 Pleats
This time, I've managed to avoid the large amounts of curvature in the sewn-down pleats. As is evident from the photo,
I've been getting better as I work toward the under apron. I notice that my pleats tend to skew to the right. I think
that I had an "Ah Ha!" moment the other day. I tend to hold, or push, the waist end of the pleat away from me as I
stitch a pleat. This pushing is, in large part, why the sewn-down pleats skew right and why the horizontal stripes
don't align. With only two pleats to go on this kilt I won't know until I make my
Polaris kilt.
