Classic Yacht Regatta, Antigua 2005 April 09 Saturday
First day of real racing practice with Michael and Joe. Minor queasiness. Flew the genoa polled
out and the spinaker. Didn't get to see that because I cut my thumb somehow when Keith and I
were hauling on the mizzen halyard. Nurse Elizabeth fixed it all better.
After practice we returned to the villa for lunch, a swim, and a bit of a kip. Went to English
Harbor and did the walk over the top to Falmouth. Stopped at Seaside in the marina for a beer
with Keith.
Just finished that when Liz remembered that she'd left eggs boiling at the villa. Raced back to
the villa and found a red hot pan and exploded, burned egg sort of splattered about the kitchen.
Fortunately nothing too bad - bit smelly though. Cleaned up and had some dinner on the patio.
