Classic Yacht Regatta, Antigua 2005 April 15 Friday
Concourse d'Elegance today.
At the boat fairly early for a last look round. All the cushions were taken off yesterday, sails
were put in the dinghy along side. Judging started at about 0900 so we wandered round looking at
the competition then off to Seabreeze for coffee.
After the judging, sails back on board and got ready to get underway. Had to wait a bit for
Kelly and his adopted neice Tess (Kelly has adopted Tess for reasons that i'm not clear on).
Out for more practice with two new guys, Jamie and Alex, who will be working the foredeck. Brisk
winds and had every sail up and down except the Code Zero genoa.
Back to the dock by 1330 for a bite to eat then Tim, Liz, and I came back to the villa. I had a
brief swim while Tim went back to the boat to fetch lunch stuff that we forgot - we'll need it
for racing.
Quick shower then off to the Copper and Lumber in English Harbor for the prize giving.
Avrion got second place in her division.
Dinner at the villa then all to bed.
