his
batch of fiber was collected from four or five different camels of
various ages at Camelot
Adventure Lodge in Moab, Utah. There are a variety of fiber qualities
amongst the group ranging from fine to coarse and from short (an inch
or less) to medium (three plus inches) length, and from light to dark
color with some gray.
The camels are two-coated animals. The wool that we carded was harvested
as the animals shed it.
Most of the debris removed from the wool was lovely red Southern Utah
sand.
