Double Weave, Roving, & Handspun
At the bottom, the alternating color double weave that I didn't
remember how to do remembered - or, rather, figured out again. Here, I did three tubes - the first stuffed (overstuffed) with gray
alpaca roving, and the other two stuffed with the same yellow as I used to stuff before. The reverse treadling to close the tube is
1,2,4; 2; 2,3,4; 4; and if the first shot of the new tube is the same color as the first shot of the previous tube, then the
alternating pattern isn't interrupted. The last tube isn't complete because I ran out of both colors on the shuttles and I didn't
really need to do any more anyway.
